Research Healing Environment

Through the BNA, IAA Architecten participated in a research by TNO into 'Evidence Based Healthcare Design'. The new MST in Enschede was designed and furnished entirely according to the insights of Healing Environment, and it is very valuable to continue to observe the effects of the building on the patient and other users. In this way, we can gather 'evidence' on which we will be able to base the right solutions for future projects.

In many new hospitals, the Healing Environment theory is leading in the design and organisation. After this first phase, more steps will follow to further deepen the research.
