Construction work on Cruquius 2.2 Sigma has commenced
Kick-off: construction on the former Sigma site has begun. The former paint warehouse has been stripped inside and out and the space for the underground car park underneath buildings C South and C North is being excavated. Large horizontal struts keep the dam walls in place within the soft Amsterdam soil. Below the struts, the concrete piles that have to carry the buildings stand out. Further along, construction on building E is in full swing: the ground floor has been poured and the scaffolding has been assembled.
