New construction cardiac catheterisation and angioplasty centre Emmen: steel construction in place
Beside the emergency room of Treant Zorggroep hospital location Scheper in Emmen, the building contour is clearly visible for the first time. Because of the speed of construction and the subdivision of the building, a steel construction in combination with hollow core-slabs for the floor and roof was chosen. Load-bearing walls were not used so that functional subdivision could be kept as large as possible.
REGIONAL FUNCTION
The new centre has a regional function and has three cardiac catheterisation chambers and a preparation room for eight patients. In addition to cardiac catheterisation and angioplasty treatments, the new centre also houses pacemakers and internal defibrillators (ICDs). The building is expected to be completed in the autumn of 2020.
