Linking specification information to the building model

The amount of information you can link to a building model is ever increasing. In order to be able to add specification information as well, Systhema and IAA Architecten are developing and testing software that links element level specifications to the IFC file of the building model. The software S-Secretary reads in the IFC file and after the elements are specified, a URL (= a connection to the 'cloud') links the specifications to the elements in the file. This way, the building model gradually becomes the carrier of the specifications as well. With a viewer, you can then open these specifications from within the model.
