Final Design Vocational Training Centre Rijssen agreed

The new Vocational Training Centre West-Twente in Rijssen is the intended hotspot for all technical education and companies in the region. With this new construction, technical education, in cooperation with the business community, aims to be ready for the future to continue to appeal to and train new generations in technology. There is also the expectation that bringing the various courses together will lead to a synergy in terms of content. IAA Architecten is working with Kleissen Bouwmanagement en Advies on this project commissioned by Ter Steege Bouw Vastgoed. Last week, the Final Design was approved and now the environmental permit will be applied for.

COOPERATION IN EDUCATION

The Vocational Training Centre is a collaboration between ROC van Twente, Bouwgilde, Zorggilde Reggestreek and REMO West-Twente. The existing construction at Reggesingel will be enlarged, the new construction forming an extension of it. Between the new construction and the existing building there will be a high hall with an entrance where everyone will enter centrally. Linked to this is the Experience Lab, which will provide the opportunity for presentations, meetings and encounters of all courses.
