St. Elisabeth extension proceeding according to plan

The work to expand St. Elisabeth with an additional residential unit for eight people with memory problems is on schedule. The contractor and the installer are completing their work so that the "construction" can be delivered on 30 September 2021. The final work is on the loggia that has been used as an entrance to the construction site. After this, Carintreggeland will start furnishing the housing unit and the residents will be able to get their new place later this year.

EXTENSION WAS FORESEEN IN DESIGN

During construction five years ago, an extension on the second floor, in the place of the attic, was already taken into account. The new section will have the same layout as the other residential units according to the concept of small-scale living. There will be one large communal living room, and in addition the residents will have their own sitting/bedroom and their own sanitary facilities.
