New construction 'Building Section South' Hospital St Jansdal [3]

From the air, it is easy to see how the new construction of St Jansdal hospital's 'Building Section South' is progressing. On the left of the photo, the new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) will be built on the first floor; in front, the double-height ambulance hall can be recognised. Later, a large play terrace will be built on the roof of the hall - overlooking the greenery - as part of the children's ward. A marvellous piece of construction by contractor Goosen Te Pas, as the hospital continues to operate as usual.

A direct connection is made from the ICU to the OR complex. The same happens on the ground floor so that the Acute Admissions Department has a direct connection to the Emergency Department.
