Pilot project 'Zonneroute' suitable for A37

Rijkswaterstaat (the Ministry of Public Works & Waterways) is doing research into the possibility of a solar panel route along the A37 that should provide enough energy to power a city such as Assen. IAA Architects is one of three selected planning offices for a "zonneroute" (sunroute) along this 42-kilometre long motorway.

Now that the various designs have been submitted, Rijkswaterstaat will consult the province and municipalities for a subsequent implementation of the plans.
